This is a good solid combat experienced WWII Early imperial Japanese Army  “Cherry Blossom” helmet.  This is an extremely rare helmet. The overall condition of the paint is very good.

Original combat Army helmets are tough to find. This helmet retains about 80% or better of the original combat finish paint.  The IJA 5 pointed Star is original to the helmet.

The leather liner and chinstraps are present.  The leather liner pads are in good overall condition and I think the original drawstring is present. There is some writing on the inside of the liner name perhaps?

. The chinstraps are the correct canvas type and have not been replaced. Rings are present on chin strap, and are of the original type (I think)

Considered to be very rare, these early Japanese helmets command high prices.
