Most decent sets have ended up in long time collections, and rarely come up for sale. I was fortunate to be offered these truly “unique” boards. What makes them different? Apart from starting life as a pair of sew in boards , the proud owner has sewn in some tabs to the boards to make them slip on. The indents of buttons from wear are evident on the fabric. The metal cyphers as opposed to embroidered cyphers are stunning, and of course 100% real. The 3 pips that have been applied in various stages of the man’s promotion is a lovely sight to see.
