This is a time warp dagger that has never been apart – the fittings are filled with verdigris on the top and bottom crossguards and the scabbard fittings. The bottom crossguard is stamped with the area designation Fr  for  Franken.

The eagle is not dull as when handled it has kept it clean. The handle is free from damage as it the SA button. The blade is made by the rare maker Heinrich Leupold of Gefrees, Bavaria under the brand name LEUCO.

Leuco rates around 9 out of 10 on the scale, meaning that fewer than 3000 were produced.  The blade is clean and crisp and the motto is clear  The hanger is an early nickel silver example difficult to get today. But this one has been with the dagger forever There is a lot of finish on the  anodised scabbard  the bottom ball is dented and slightly split, which is usual
