This Prinzen Size Iron Cross 2nd Class Spange is an outstanding piece. These smaller, “Prinzen” size awards are rare to find, much more scarce than their full-size counterparts. This one is a high quality example. It’s made of Tombak.

This Spange retains all of the original factory “frosted” silver finish. It shows lovely crisp detail, and is possibly by  Wilhelm Deumer – Lüdenscheid. The Spange features two vertical prongs. One of which, has sadly broken away – but it certainly does not detract from its appearance.

This lovely Iron Cross 2nd Class Spange is affixed to a length of original, correct 1914 black and white Iron Cross ribbon.

The Cross comes with a certificate of authenticity from Detlev Niemann, stating the broken /missing pin, dated 2005
