        A fine example of a side cap in undamaged condition with Pink waffenfarbe for Panzer corps. The maker stamp has faded over time; fortunately the 1942 stamp is still readable. The grommets are both present and in very good condition with no fabric fraying on the outside. Insignia is all hand sewn, in unbroken green thread, none of which glows under UV. The liner is completely intact, with lovely signs of usage and the side cap itself is in very good condition.

Initially, the Panzer corps were the main strike force of the Wehrmacht, and consisted of motorised infantry and tank divisions. Later in the war it was possible to find panzer corps that consisted solely of infantry divisions.
