A striking Luftwaffe combat helmet, with almost 100% of the original factory rough finish still applied to the shell and a mint undamaged decal.

Stamped Q for Quist, this is the standard heavy gauge steel that Quist used. Shell size is 64 with a 56/57 liner. All of the rivets are tight to the liner, with some paint loss to the heads. The liner has been used and shows signs of wear to the edges. The leather is supple and free from splits. The chinstrap is an unmarked example – chinstraps were issued separately with helmets and were not applied at the factory. This is one of the best ones around, and will only increase in value over time. If it doesn’t sell, I will be happy to keep it and put it back on my shelf
