My latest combat helmet offering is a striking M35 double decal helmet with a thick “blackish- dark green” overpaint with a sawdust covering.

The tri colour decal paint over has cracked and the colours can be seen peeking through – The Adler is still completely covered but a faint outline can still be seen – which is nigh on impossible to photograph.

The inside of the helmet has had heavy brush stroked thick paint brushed onto the inside lip – so no maker code or lot number is visible. The liner is complete – with no tears or rips to the tongues, the rivets are “factory tight” and has not been tampered with. To complete this wonderful piece of history there is a period chinstrap, drawstring – AND it has a  dome stamp! Size is about 57 so it would be a 64 shell.

Getting helmets that haven’t been “pandered” around every dealer on the planet is getting ever more difficult – but I have a collector – that every so often offers me one of his “top shelfers” to fund another purchase – Trust me when I say I don’t get them for nothing – but they are definitely- different – top shelf………. and untouched!
