An interesting example of a once common shield becoming increasingly scares on the market today. This one would display well against some combat awards as the pins and backing has been removed – probably due to be fitted in an album. There is a blob of solder to the back – possibly where someone was going to fit a pin, but it is long gone. A good original non maker marked example of an original award at a fraction of the cost of a mint one
