Hitler Youth daggers have always been popular with collectors – and is one of the items in the collecting world that is becoming increasingly difficult to get any decent examples of.

This is a non-motto HJ Dagger by WKC, and is in exceptional condition with most of the original nickel plating remaining

The grip and rivets are in great condition, as is the HJ diamond. The blade is bright and clean and has not been sharpened, 

There is no sign of a motto ever being present on the blade and as a footnote the motto appeared on blades up until August 1938. So it is possible for a 1938 blade not to have one. On the obverse is the transitional mark for WKC – RZM M7/42 1938 with a Knights head under and WKC Solingen   

The scabbard has most of the original paint finish to it, and as you would expect from an item nearly 80 years old, there is some paint loss – I would be more worried if it didn’t have any!

The washer on the blade is intact. The leather fastening works fine and it is soft and pliable

All in all a solid dagger that won’t break the bank
