A good original mid to late war zinc Paratroopers Badge by Assmann. This badge has a lot of finish, both to the eagle and wreath. The back displays the typical pin set up for this variant, and the number 2 for the 2^nd die set shows up well. Pin and catch are without repair or fault. Most of these zinc badges are heavily worn and the gilding has faded. This one has been much loved over the years, and retains the character, and beauty of the badge. Although you can’t better a Tombak I believe that when you get a decent “Zincker” there isn’t a lot of difference, apart from the price!
