A fine example of a die stamped unmarked Deumer, with the maker’s textbook high quality details apparent throughout. The shield is mounted on a field-green wool base with an alloy backing plate with all 4 pins intact and covered by brown adhesive paper. The Crimean Campaign shield was worn on the upper left sleeve of the tunic. It  was instituted in 1942 for personnel who had engaged in combat, were wounded or served three months in the Crimean peninsula campaign
