Immediate post war cap in good condition. The cap displays light wear and is a size 56. Makers label to the inside with celluloid cover over the label. There is little difference in the caps style and construction  to the ones used in the 3^rd Reich era.  Except the price of course TR ones sell up to £500!!

The label maker is known for post war caps. The chinstrap colour denotes the pay grade which I think is grade 4. Insignia and cockade fit the cap perfectly.

The hats were very similar to those used in the Third Reich period. Until the early 50′s the Reichsbahn continued to wear their old Third Reich uniforms, with the insignia removed of course. They then produced a new set of uniform regulations and the uniforms changed to a more Russian form. A much cheaper alternative to one used a few years previous
