This is without doubt, the most comprehensive “Diary” that I have had the pleasure to own. It follows the fortunes of a HJ Signals unit from 1939 until 1943. There are approx 71 pages all double sided, hand written in script, housed in a modern day A4 folder. There are numerous photos within the chronicle with an interesting couple of pages”with A Hitler in Coberg on the 20th Anniversary”. I cannot read the text, but there really are some fantastic HJ photos along with some striking artwork.There are also what seems to be some newspaper cutting, it has all been annotated. The is an interesting promotion for one member from Kameradschaftsfuhrer to Verwalter to Gefolgschaftsfuhrer
This is so rare, I have never seen another one, nor am I likely to, as many, I’ve been told, did not survive, especially with photographs. The price on this piece is speculative, as it gives me a small profit on what I paid, and if anyone can point me in the direction of another for sale cheaper, I would be very surprised.
A true “one off” for the serious HJ collector.
