Beautiful looking Adolf Hitler bust quarter size  by H.H. VAN BEUSEKOM from Gladbeck – HB- which is nicely marked on the base. The bust does display a few knocks and loss of finish, but you would expect to see this on a 90 year old object  Schmidt-Hopfer was the artist who was well known for designing all  HB Hitler busts This is a pre-war example made from Spelter an alloy of zinc and lead. Spelter is also used to describe a copper-zinc alloy, with a Bronze coating. Bronze was scarce during the war and could only serve for military purposes, The maker mark ‘HB’ is visible on the back. It is original mounted on a base from about 7.5 x 7.5 x 3cm. The head itself measure a height of 13cm and width of 7cm. Total height with marble base 15,5cm. A very nice piece of Third Reich artwork
