Recently discovered  in a house clearance this is a rare  1937 early ALL matching numbered K98 Bayonet complete with a 1937 dated brown LBA marked Frog. The frog is also marked nicely with the maker J.H Kofler.

Lightly worn example showing some really deep waffenampts stamps on the bottom ball and handle blade is marked with 3 numbers 924 d and the same on the scabbard. Making this an early one

Reverse of the scabbard is marked S/172 and the date under 1937. The blade is marked S/ 172 for the maker Carl Eickhorn and the blade is marked 37 along the spine.

 

This is a truly amazing piece
